A portrait, in any form, is an investment of thought, interpretation, talent, and time. Engaged couples invest in their wedding portrait the same way a painter does with her canvas or choreographer with his performance piece; the composition conveys individuality and collaboration, passion and promise.

Artist LaVonne Crawford, owner of Adorations Botanical Artistry, and her team of designers take pride in relaying the story of their clients through their interpretive floral and event portraits. “We believe decorative art has meaning,” explains LaVonne, of her team’s focus. “It’s not just about ornamentation, trends and ‘hot, new looks’—it’s really about personal expression.” It is this commitment to creating the story of the couple (as individuals and as partners), and the mission of Adorations itself, that caught the eye of both Ceremony Magazine San Diego and The Bride & Bloom Southern California for features in their 2012 publications surrounding the majesty of the wedding of Adrienne and Dale, a beloved Adoration’s couple. Although different in scope and intention, the marriage of the two publications gives any client or design aficionado a privileged tour of the complete process of a design master inspired by beautiful, interesting people in love.

By exploring The Bride & Bloom’s “From Concept to Reality,” we are invited to walk through the process that Adorations led with their clients in order to establish a foundation, heartbeat, and sensual home through which Adrienne and Dale could share their story on their wedding day. From the five items that the couple shared with LaVonne to represent their taste and tale, to the careful attention paid to each element of the design plan that reflected Adrienne and Dale, “From Concept to Reality” is a visual and intellectual roadmap that brilliantly captures why Adorations is simply the best at their craft.

Ceremony Magazine exquisitely portrays the actualization of Adrienne and Dale’s vision in a delicious spread of images that make the heart swoon. True Photography Weddings captured every element of lovely that was thoughtfully crafted for the day, and the magazine masterfully designed a piece that walks the reader through that experience.

Adorations Botanical Artistry would like to thank both Ceremony Magazine San Diego and The Bride & Bloom Southern California for the opportunity to share itself in such a thoughtful way with others.
